Shades of Grey

Now that the first snowstorm is upon us in New Jersey, it is finally starting to look and feel like winter. Considering it is already the end of January we have been lucky with a pretty mild winter. I am taking full advantage of being snowed in this weekend and relaxing in my pjs while I Netflix binge, and work on my blog from photos I took last weekend with my sister.

In the winter I tend to dress in more grey tones, and that’s why when I saw these booties I knew they were just what my winter wardrobe needed! I snagged this fuzzy bomber jacket from the Gap during Black Friday. I love how it adds some effortless style to any outfit while keeping you super cozy and warm. Everyone needs a go-to beanie for the cold winter months, and that’s exactly what this one is for me. I ordered it online from Jocelyn Fur, and they have tons of great cold weather accessories. Plus a beanie is an acceptable excuse to not have to do my hair every day and be lazy haha.

I hope you guys are all staying warm and enjoying this snowstorm bundled up with some hot chocolate :) For more fashion inspiration be sure to check my Instagram @wildwavez for more frequent updates!

Goodbye Fall

Chilling with Mr. Gnome :)

I absolutely love these warm fall days! A few years ago we had a blizzard on Halloween so I am taking full advantage of this weather before it’s freezing outside, and I go into my winter hibernation. Recently I have been into having flowers all over my room! I even love to dry them out before they completely wilt, and put them into jars to decorate my room. The next time you go to throw out your flowers, I suggest preserving them. All you have to do is drain the water from your vase, and let them dry out for a few days. It’s very simple and they still look beautiful!

A few weeks ago I went to a farm that had a gorgeous flower field. I purchased my first pair of polarized Ray Ban aviators just in time to appreciate all the vibrant colors. Wearing polarized sunglasses feels like you have an Instagram filter on your eyes! I never had a pair, so this is a whole new world to me when I put them on. After the farm we explored around the town, and found this awesome street art!

I’m hoping this weather stays warm for as long as possible because I don’t think that I am ready for the cold. I know it’s right around the corner because now I am off to get ready for a Christmas light show at Skylands Stadium tonight and to make s’mores in their Christmas village :)

Back in Black

Halloween is here and that means it’s time to get inspired by the spooky spirits and bring out your inner witchy style. Nothing compares to the summer, but fall is my second favorite time of year because I love all of the activities. How could you not enjoy apple picking, carving pumpkins, and dressing up in costumes?! Seeing all the different creative costumes, is the perfect way to gather ideas for next Halloween :)

I got this dress from Gypsy Warrior last year, and I really love the bell sleeves because it makes this LBD unique. It also has a witchy vibe to it, making it perfect to wear around Halloween.  Adding a pair of knee high socks completes any fall look, while keeping you warm and stylish.

I hope you guys have your costumes ready and are excited for Halloween tonight! Comment below what you’re planning to dress up as this year :)

Saltwater Love Tribe

With a name like Saltwater Love Tribe how could I not be instantly obsessed with this brand?? Now that summer is sadly over, and fall activities are beginning, I wanted to do one last blog post dedicated to this incredible summer. I had the opportunity to work with so many amazing brands this summer, and among them is Saltwater Love Tribe, which is based out of California. When I got my package in the mail with all of these amazing mermaid shirts, I couldn't have been happier! These crop tops and relaxed-fitting muscle tanks are perfect for days spent on the beach, and now I will be transitioning my tanks and tees to wear under sweaters and flannels for the fall.

I hope you guys enjoyed getting a glimpse into my summer because I know I loved capturing all my favorite memories to share with you! Now that fall has begun it is time to go apple picking, and enjoy anything pumpkin flavored that your heart could ever desire. Personally I am looking forward to my mom’s homemade apple crisp, which is best served right out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top! It is so heavenly and delicious :)

Check out my blog and Instagram daily for updates because I am working on some fun fall posts with great brands that I am really excited to share!

Endless Summer

Sunday, September 20, 2015

It’s interesting that when you’re not in school anymore you begin to appreciate the month of September. It is such a gorgeous month to go to the beach, and its great because it’s less crowded. This is one of the first perks of entering the real world!

Sand Cloud is a great company that I discovered this summer and 10% of each purchase is donated to preserve marine life. I definitely got good use out of this towel that I bought from them this summer. It’s great because it rolls up so tiny making it fit perfectly in your beach bag! The towel that I purchased has a zipper pocket that you can put your phone in while your tanning so it does not overheat.

Use my personal code karlee25 and receive 25% off any purchase, and trust me you won’t be disappointed by these towels! They are also a great decorative piece for your room when beach days are over. Check out their Instagram @sand_cloud to see all the different ways people use their towels!

P.S. I got this dress at Molly & Zoey’s sidewalk sale this summer for $7!!! It was originally almost $40! I know I have said it before but you guys have to go check them out in Long Branch, because the deals you can get on such great pieces is incredible.
