Endless Summer

Sunday, September 20, 2015

It’s interesting that when you’re not in school anymore you begin to appreciate the month of September. It is such a gorgeous month to go to the beach, and its great because it’s less crowded. This is one of the first perks of entering the real world!

Sand Cloud is a great company that I discovered this summer and 10% of each purchase is donated to preserve marine life. I definitely got good use out of this towel that I bought from them this summer. It’s great because it rolls up so tiny making it fit perfectly in your beach bag! The towel that I purchased has a zipper pocket that you can put your phone in while your tanning so it does not overheat.

Use my personal code karlee25 and receive 25% off any purchase, and trust me you won’t be disappointed by these towels! They are also a great decorative piece for your room when beach days are over. Check out their Instagram @sand_cloud to see all the different ways people use their towels!

P.S. I got this dress at Molly & Zoey’s sidewalk sale this summer for $7!!! It was originally almost $40! I know I have said it before but you guys have to go check them out in Long Branch, because the deals you can get on such great pieces is incredible.

The Soul Project

If you’re a beach bum like me then you need to check out The Soul Project! A dollar from each purchase goes to the Soul Project Foundation, which makes grants to local kids and environmental charities. There is nothing better than feeling good about shopping and knowing exactly where your money is going.

I was so excited to get these two shirts in the mail because I love the graphics on them! This salty tank is super soft and is perfect to pair with cutoff denim shorts. I love how the Mermaid tee fits me oversized and I paired it with my caged bralette from Gypsy Warrior. As you can probably tell by now, this summer I am always rocking my flash tats that are also from The Soul Project.

Hope you guys are enjoying summer because it’s flying by!

Summer Stripes

Sea Goddess flash tattoo from The Soul Project

So here it is, my flowy striped dress that I mentioned in my previous post! After a long day in the sun, I love wearing something that is loose and comfortable, and this dress is just that. It's super versatile and could either be dressed down as a beach cover up, or you can dress it up like I did here with some accessories. I snagged this adorable dress from Molly & Zoey in Long Branch. I can always find great deals on the hottest trends at this store. If you are ever in Long Branch make sure to check them out in Pier Village.

My hat, Jeffrey Campbell heels, and chocker are all from Gypsy Warrior. This necklace instantly adds some major glam to anything you pair it with, and it's one of my favorite accessories that I own. This look is perfect for a summer night when your skin is feeling a bit toasty, and you don’t want to be uncomfortable wearing something tight.

I hope you guys had a great weekend!

Watermelon on the Rocks

Check out The Soul Project for these awesome tats!

I’m not sure how it’s possible that it is already the end of July! I always hate how fast the summer goes, but that just means that you need to make sure to enjoy every minute of it. I plan on going to the beach as many times as possible before the warm days are gone, and there is nothing more refreshing than eating watermelon on the beach!
In the summer it’s sometimes too hot to want to wear accessories that are sticking to your skin, and flash tattoos are the perfect way to beat the heat while still looking stylish! This summer you will rarely catch me not having at least one on. This set of tats I got from The Soul Project, and my favorite one is the mermaid scales…of course :) These pictures are all from my girls trip to Long Branch this week with my mom and sister. We had such a fun day, and we ended it shopping at Pier Village. I got the cutest striped flowy dress that I will be featuring in my next post, so stay tuned :)

LBD

As cliché as it may sound every girl needs a little black dress in their closet that they know is always a safe go-to outfit. It was time for me to purchase a new black dress, and when I found this one from Express with the discreet side cut outs I thought it was perfect! You can never go wrong with a black dress for any occasion, and then you can have fun accessorizing it differently each time that you wear it. There are so many ways you can wear the same dress different ways and totally give the look a fresh makeover. When I found this cobalt blue purse at Express I knew it was the perfect statement piece to complete the look and add a pop of color. I would love to hear ways you style your favorite LBD! Capping Off My College Career

My decorated cap!

Lauren Conrad Cinderella collection dress
My extremely artistic sister that was the mastermind behind my cap decoration!
My incredible boyfriend that has always been there for me throughout my college years & he bought my favorite flower (sunflowers) for graduation :)

My whole entire world, my amazing family and the best support system I could ever ask for! (We are really into family selfies lol)
I DID IT!!

This past Monday I graduated from Montclair State University as a Fashion major and Communication Studies minor. As college comes to an end it is the start of a brand new chapter in life that is both exciting and a bit scary. Now is the time to use everything we have learned in school and apply it to the real world. I am looking forward to the future and exploring my talents in my future career. It is also a time to reflect on everything that has been accomplished over the past years, and realize that graduating from college in four years is a lot to be proud of!

One of the fun parts about preparing for graduation is decorating your cap! It is such a fun DIY project, and I loved how mine came out because I felt like it fit my personality perfectly! It is now hanging on my bedroom wall, and is a great reminder of my accomplishment that I can remind myself of everyday. Before I went to Cancun I found out that Kohl’s was carrying the Lauren Conrad Cinderella collection, and I immediately ran over because I had to own a piece from this collection. At the time I did not have an event in mind that I needed a dress for, but I still wanted to buy one. It ended up being the dress I wore to my graduation and I absolutely loved it! The floral blue print and lace panels on the side paired with the cut of the dress were the perfect combination. Plus Lauren Conrad is one of my fashion icons so it was a coincidence that I ended up wearing one of her dresses to my college graduation as a fashion major.

Now I am officially a college graduate, and it’s time to flip the page and start the next chapter of my life. That is the beautiful thing about starting a new phase in life is that there are so many blank pages to fill, and YOU get to decide how to fill them. Every end has a new beginning, and the best is yet to come!!
